With its early foundation in 2007, the MY-SIG has grown vastly over the years, now representing over 3000 members in many different countries all over the world.
The first official Mensa Youth Camp was held in Denmark in 2007 as a one-off international version of the Danish MY-SIG summer camp, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Mensa Denmark. Since international guests were welcome, some Dutch members decided to join too. Everyone had a blast, and the Dutch decided to hold another MY-Camp in the Netherlands the following year. This camp was another big success and from there on it became an annual event. The MY-SIG was established.
